Talen Energy is one of the largest independent power producers in the United States. Following our collaboration on its 2017 Annual Report, I was invited back to art direct and design the 2018 edition, titled Building Our Future.

The visual direction was built around ideas of growth, progress, energy and connection. A bold geometric cover treatment established the graphic language for the report, with intersecting forms and vibrant colour creating a sense of movement and forward momentum.

I developed the system across the full publication, using structured typography, a flexible colour palette and clear data visualisation to bring consistency to a wide range of financial and corporate content. The result balances the precision expected of an annual report with a more expressive and optimistic visual character.
