Hello!
I'm Mark Jackson-Weaver, a brand designer and Design Director based in Cheltenham, UK.
I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I spent a lot of my time drawing, painting and lettering. By high school, I was designing gig posters and CD covers for my band, long before I really understood that graphic design could be a career.
That love of making visual things eventually led me to study Visual Communications, where I earned my B.S. degree, and then to one of my first design jobs at a small print shop back in Albuquerque. I spent my days designing logos, menus, business cards, signage and ads for local businesses, and somewhere along the way I realised that building brands was the part I loved most.
Since then, brand and visual identity design has been the focus of my career, with roles at a range of agencies and studios. I've had the chance to create work for early-stage startups as well as global brands including Bang & Olufsen, SiriusXM, PepsiCo and Starbucks.
I'm currently Design Director at Fazer, a New York-based brand strategy and design firm, where I work closely with our strategists and lead the design team in creating visual identities for clients across all kinds of industries.
I'm still happiest when I'm making things, solving visual problems and working with good people. I believe the best design is simple, cohesive, and true to the brand behind it.
I now live in Cheltenham with my wife and our dog, Bluebell.
